LO "I am finally standing"

And here is my new LO : "I am finally standing". Yes, as you can see, the photo of Ulrika is terrible...again... This is a moment, when Ulrika stood up for a first time, herself... In the text I wrote, that even being 9months old she showed no signs of wish of standing up. But one day she just stood up, without any practicing! And so easily! We were so happy to catch the moment...

'A Gift Box' and 'A Note Book"

Hello my friends! Here are two of my new 'projects', he he...

Last weekend there was a scrap meeting over my place. Oh gosh, it was really fun! We were scrapping adn talking, and... I could not do anything, as usual, he he... I have to break this tradition, he he... Anyway, after girls have left, me and Ulrika had some fun and made those two small 'projects': "a gift box" and "a note book".

A gift box is just a decorated wooden small heart-shape box. I painted it with silver acrylic paint, and decorated with flower and some more embelishments. Here is a view from one side:

And a small cute ribbon on a back of a box...

And here is a note book. Its really small, but ideal for pocket or purse for making a note, funny expressions, friend's birthday or just a telephone number... A warm vintage style makes it cute and wanted...he he...

I used gesso and pages of an old book for covers...some lace and thread, a flower and, of course, distressed edges, he he...

LO "Just born"

Hello girls and boys!!! Here I am with my new LO "Just born". Ulrika was just born when those photos are made, she was taken to wash and dress up... Daddy was with her then. It is such a pitty that photos are sooooo bad... still they are so unique for me...

Yes, yes, I know what you think - again a lot of flowers, he he... maybe even too much, he he... but I really enjoyed to put them there! And, I love those papers from Narratives and Prima!

I did not want a big flashy title, just a reminder...

Two hearts symbolize two loving people needed for this miracle to happen...

LO "As sedziu! Pati!"

Hello there! Here is my new LO. The title says: "Mamma, look, I am sitting, myself!" Ulrika was 6 month old, when this photo was made. She was so happy and proud of herself, that she could sit without anyone holding her. Although it was only for a short moment, he he... This was one of her first trials to sit by herself.
I love those apple-tree blossoms! Although it is sooooooo difficult to attach them to the paper, he he...

My works will be published!

Yes yes, that is true! One amazing personality and very talented person - Lina Jaruseviciute - is writing a book about decoupage and other decorative techniques. It will be written in lithuanian language (I am sorry for my international friends), currently it is a lack of books about decorative techniques in lithuanian. That is - all lithuanians should say thank you Lina for her work!

Lina Jaruseviciute is an author of "1001 ideja" (eng. "1001 idea"). She is a wonderful person and extremely talented personality. She has education within architecture and textiles art. Her blog is here. And her work gallery is here.

It is an amazing feeling to understand, that someone really likes and enjoys my works. It inspares and motivates me to create. I will provide with updated information when I know more about a book!

Mini gift envelope

Hei again! I had my mum visiting me last 10 days. Jest before she came, she had a birthday. So I decided to make an envelope for present. And of course, I made a photo the last night, before she left, he he...

A present was very small, so I wanted to make bigger wrapping, so it would not get lost, but the same not too big envelope to wrap it, or to put it in. So, here it goes - mini envelope for mini present. Sorry again for terrible photos... View from the top: View from the side, to see the envelope wrapping style... It is closed by the ribbon... Love those pearls...

The view from the back...I love this stamp! Just it was stamped on a paper from luxury stack from DCWV which has pearlized surfice, so it got a little bit blure...yea, learning learning, he he...

Simple LO - Ulrika with granny

Hello girls! I have my mother visiting me, so I have no much time to scrap... still I found some time for this simple LO. Here is Ulrika 8 month with her granny (my mother) in Geiranger, with the view to Geiranger fjord. These pictures are from last year's trip around Norway.

And again I should say sorry for terrible photos... The background is sprayed with Glimmer mist, but there is almost no possibility to see it,he he... just imagine...
